About The Editor
I began my first publication when I was ten years old. I called it News on the Mountain, a collection of stories handwritten on yellow construction paper.
Raised in a rural area on the west coast with only twelve homes (our nearest neighbor was a 1/2 mile away) and growing up without a cell phone, iPad,Facebook, or Instagram, my imagination grew organically.
As a child, I felt somewhat isolated. I wanted to connect with people and learn about their lives, so I asked my mom to drive me to our neighbors’ houses. I would ask them to share a story with me, which allowed me to get to know the people in the area. My mom thought it was silly, but she did it anyway.
After doing the neighborhood rounds, I would write everything I could remember about those conversations onto pieces of yellow construction paper from my fourth grade class. I created a little booklet with something shared about each of them and delivered it to everyone who had spoken with me.
I saw the value in connecting people who might not have taken the time to connect on their own. I watched my neighbors get to know each other a little more by reading my childhood version of a magazine. Friendships began. Others strengthened. I felt like I was doing a good thing.
After high school, my vision expanded, and I wanted to become a photojournalist. The truth is, I didn’t know which path to take to make that happen, so I let life’s paths lead me. And I paid attention to each step as I explored colorful, exciting, new directions along the way.
You know how it goes.
Those “directions” bring us to broader spectrums of ourselves and prepare us for the dreams we want to bring to life.
My journey led me to create the media company Inspired Success Media and the publication Inspired Success Magazine.
Inspired Success Magazine is designed to transform people’s lives, so they think better, choose better, and take action. We’re on a mission to share inspirational stories: the trials, lessons, and wisdom that lead to success. We offer practical tips and tools by interviewing thought leaders, professionals, adventurers, entrepreneurs, and influencers so our readers can bring their visions into reality.
I dedicate these publications to my family, friends, acquaintances, and everyone who unknowingly reaffirmed for me where I intended to find my place in the world. I am grateful for all the moments I have shared with people while aligning and resonating with them and all the moments that were in contrasting and opposing conversations. Every exchange has helped fortify my strength and inspiration in this life.
I am forever grateful.
